Parking
The City of Ellensburg has established Residential Parking Zones or RPZ in the central area of town. The RPZ protects street parking for those who live and work in the zone. If you are a resident, service provider or business located in the RPZ, you may apply for a permit. The permit is placed in your vehicle, and that vehicle is allowed to be parked in the RPZ.
Individuals may apply for a Residential Parking Permit. Each unit in the RPZ is allowed one permit for each vehicle owned, plus two additional permits for visitors. If you live contiguous to the RPZ you may request one RPZ permit for your vehicle. If you live in the RPZ and are expecting guests, you can request a temporary guest permit.
Service providers and businesses located in the RPZ may request parking permits, too. Service providers may request up to 2 permits, and businesses 2 permits, plus an additional up to 2 for employees.
